The “Medical Technology” market exploration trip to Cambodia and Vietnam will take place from September 13 to 18, 2026, and is being organized by the German-Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Vietnam) in collaboration with enviacon International on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The goal is to enable German small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular, to enter or expand their activities in these growing markets in a structured manner.

Vietnam and Cambodia offer attractive conditions for the medical technology industry: While Vietnam has a rapidly growing economy, rising healthcare spending, and a healthcare system that is largely dependent on imports, Cambodia is a smaller but dynamic market with a strong private healthcare sector and near-total dependence on imports. In both countries, investments in healthcare infrastructure, digitalization, and the growing demand for modern diagnostic and treatment technologies are opening up a wide range of business opportunities, particularly for German providers with high-quality technology.

The trip is aimed specifically at companies in the fields of high-end diagnostics, imaging, digital health, and hospital equipment, as well as firms planning to enter the Southeast Asian market. Participants will benefit from market insights, networking opportunities, company presentations, visits to showcase projects, and direct contact with local decision-makers.

The program includes specialized seminars, company and hospital visits in Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as one-on-one meetings with potential partners. Participation is limited to 15 companies.
