
The EU Business Hub @ World Health Expo 2026 is now open for applications. Up to 50 innovative European SMEs and startups will be selected to join a business mission to Japan, offering a unique opportunity to access one of the world’s most advanced and fast-growing healthcare markets.
The business mission will take place from 30 June to 04 July 2026 in Osaka and will provide participating companies with an individual exhibition booth at the EU Pavilion at World Health Expo 2026. The selected companies will benefit from live demonstrations, networking, and customer engagement, as well as business matchmaking with carefully selected Japanese partners.
Participants will also receive:
- in-depth market intelligence briefings
- sector insights
- business coaching
- interpretation support
- hotel accommodation for four nights (up to €1,000 covered)
- financial support for customized services, such as translation, printing, legal advice, or other services (co-funded up to €1,000)
Additional activities will include networking events, expert briefings, site visits, and other opportunities designed to maximize business contacts and partnerships.
This business mission is open to SMEs and startups active in healthcare and medical devices, including for example advanced diagnostic imaging, minimally invasive surgical technologies, homecare and remote monitoring devices, AI-integrated medical equipment, digital health and telemedicine solutions, regenerative medicine, nanotechnology in healthcare, ICT for healthcare, and assistive technologies. It is suitable for European innovators seeking structured market entry support in Japan, as well as Japanese buyers, distributors, R&D partners, and investors interested in cutting-edge European solutions.
