The Chair of Information Systems and its applied & practical research deals with topics related to Digital Health. Herein, the focus lies on the application potential and the benefit of digital technologies for actors in the health care system.
With its affiliated professorships for Strategic IT Management, Value-Oriented Process Management and Sustainable IT Management, organizational and infrastructural challenges in the health care system are investigated. Likewise, the use of digital technologies such as Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for improved patient care is an important subject of research. Selected projects include the intersectoral connection of health care actors, the optimization of logistics processes in hospitals and the establishment of telemedical care approaches.
