Apply for the m4 Award if you are doing application-oriented research that addresses the challenges of tomorrow’s medicine with potential for a future spin-off. The winning teams will receive up to € 500,000 for a period of two years to validate their research and to ready for seed-financing. In addition, the funded projects receive comprehensive startup support during and after the funding phase.
Possible topics are, in addition to and considering specifications of the funding regulations:
- innovative drugs and therapies (including NCEs, biologicals, ATMPs, vaccines)
- innovative platform technologies in the field of prediction, prognosis or diagnostics in biotechnology (including approaches based on the application of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning)
- innovative platform technologies for drug discovery and development (including approaches based on the application of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning)
- innovative approaches in the field of digital health in biotechnology (especially if there is potential for reimbursement by the cost units under the Digital Healthcare Act DVG)
To apply, submit a 5-page description of your project by March 8, 2023. After receiving a recommendation for the second stage, submit a 15-page outline by May 22, 2023. The m4 Award Jury consisting of industry experts and investors reviews the outlines and invites selected projects to present in Juli 2023.
