Injeq IQ-Tip® system is Injeq’s first product in the market. Injeq-IQ® Tip system is designed for safe lumbar punctures. It provides a real-time detection of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) when connected to Injeq IQ-Tip® spinal needle with Injeq IQ-Tip® cable. Injeq IQ-Tip® system can be used in lumbar punctures for diagnostics, intrathecal therapy and spinal anesthesia for patients of all ages. Injeq-IQ Tip® system contributes to patient safety by giving a real-time audio-visual alarm when it detects CSF. This can help the doctor to stop advancing the needle in time and may reduce the complications related to LPs such as traumatic lumbar punctures and post-dural puncture headache. With Injeq IQ-Tip® system there is high first puncture success rate and lower threshold to perform the lumbar puncture.
Injeq IQ-Tip® products are designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745). As a medical device manufacturer, Injeq applies standard ISO 13485:2016 in its quality system. IQ-Tip® needle received CE approval from TÜV SÜD (0123) on December 21, 2021 and the innovative Injeq IQ-Tip® system is now available in the European market, in Kuwait, in the KSA, in Taiwan and in Hong Kong area. Injeq was granted FDA’s Breakthrough Device Designation in August 2023. Injeq IQ-Tip® system fulfils the criteria for Breakthrough Device as it can be a life-saving medical device in leukemia care.
