Rummelsberg Hospital, operated by Sana Kliniken AG, has 360 beds and is located in the southeast of Nuremberg. The University of Erlangen-Nuremberg’s teaching hospital is renowned for its expertise in orthopedics and trauma care (210 beds), neurology (60 beds), internal medicine (50 beds) and geriatric rehabilitation (40 beds). It is a leading center of excellence in the region, with a reputation that extends well beyond the boundaries of the Nuremberg-Fürth-Erlangen metropolitan area. The Rummelsberg Hospital is staffed by highly qualified medical and nursing professionals. Approximately 12,000 inpatients and 23,000 outpatients are treated here each year. Between 2023 and 2027, the existing Wichernhaus will be replaced by a state-of-the-art hospital building. The construction project, valued at 150 million euros, is being financed by the Free State of Bavaria and the Sana Kliniken AG.
