The goal of the economic development is to positively influence the framework conditions for companies and employers in order to maintain and strengthen the economic power of Stadt Bamberg – and thus its room for maneuver.
For several years, the Economic Development Department has been working specifically to support the future industries of healthcare and IT as well as the transformation process in the automotive supply industry. Since 2019, there has been a Medical Valley Center Bamberg in Bamberg, which will receive a home on the Lagarde Campus in the future.
